Count it All Joy

I woke up one morning a few weeks ago with this song in my spirit, Count it All Joy by The Winans.

It’s one of my favourite from this family of gospel singers from the 80s but it still hits as if it were a new release. That is the power of the Word of God.

The song is based on James 1:2-4 (KJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

I pray that no matter what you are experiencing in your life that you count it as joy. Choosing to see joy even in dire circumstances will transform your mind, your spirit and your physical being. Depression can’t stick around when you are joyful. Tough times will have to find somewhere else to live because your joyful presence will transform the situation and uncover the answers you need.

The word also says to seek peace and pursue it. The Message bible says it this way in Psalm 34:14

Turn your back on sin; do something good.
Embrace peace—don’t let it get away!

Life will throw a mountain at you but do not cower. Stay in pursuit of peace. When you run after it, goodness and mercy will chase you down and you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:6)

God bless you.

Here are The Winans with Count it All Joy and then a few years later Bebe and Cece Winans did another song with the same name. Enjoy
