In November I joined a writing challenge and I’m glad I did.
I’ve always wanted to write a romance novel around the Christmas season but never could find the time. Probably because by the time I turn my mind to thoughts of Christmas, it’s Christmas.
Another goal was that the story should celebrate Christmas in Montserrat.
Christmas in Montserrat is also carnival season so my children and I always had lots to do. Between driving them to steel pan rehearsals or band practice as they got older, and covering the events for my digital platforms, we were right in the heart of all the action.
So it’s only fitting that the first collection in the I’ll Be Home for Christmas series celebrates Christmas and Carnival in Montserrat.
This is not a faith-based romance collection. It’s clean romance with little to no heat between the characters. I hope it gives you a taste of a small island Christmas and all the tears, joy and laughter that comes with life.
