CV Schizophrenia Part 2 – Stop Editing and Start Dreaming

In Part 1, I encouraged you to stop chopping and changing your CV based on job listings and to instead get focused on who you want to be. In Part 2, we go deeper.

Now, I want you to dream.

This isn’t fluff. It’s strategy. Visioning is how every successful career pivot, reinvention, and bold life decision begins. Before you hit “Apply” or “Submit”, you need to know who you’re becoming.

Start Here:

  • Where do you want to live and work?
  • What kinds of people do you want to collaborate with?
  • What do your workdays feel like – booked and busy or calm and creative?
  • What is your income goal?
  • What boundaries are you honouring?

This isn’t about ignoring the realities of life (rent, kids, caregiving, bills). It’s about making sure you’re not compromising your future every time you fill out a job application.

Design Your Work Life

In my coaching and courses, especially inside Momentum and Flourish, I teach professionals how to reverse-engineer the life they want, then build the work around it. That means:

Learning how to monetise your skills through consulting, digital products, or services.

Becoming visible to the people and platforms that matter.

Positioning yourself as a thought leader instead of just another applicant.

Build With Intention

Instead of editing your CV again this week, sit down and build your future resume, the one for your dream role. Write the summary like you’ve already got the title. Shape the bullet points around the outcomes you want to be known for. Infuse your bio with boldness, not breadcrumbs.

You are not a placeholder for someone else’s vision.

You’re the visionary. Own it.

If you’d like support to build a life and brand that matches who you’re becoming, I’d love to invite you to check out our coaching programmes at najischool.com. Whether you’re ready to reclaim your visibility, reposition your career, or raise your income, we’ve got a space for you.
