Beyond Today

One of the reasons I am passionate about entrepreneurship is the power and freedom that it brings—not just to an individual but to a family, a community, and even a nation. Entrepreneurship is about more than just creating wealth; it is about creating options, choices, and opportunities that extend beyond today.

To be wealthy is not solely about accumulating currency. True wealth is also found in mindset, health, and heart. It is the ability to make different decisions, ones that are not limited by immediate survival but decisions that open doors to a future of possibilities.

The Bible tells us that God gives us the power to get wealth. Yet, not everyone believes it is their right to obtain it. If this is true—and I believe it is—what, then, is stopping people from achieving it?

The answer is often found in mindset, conditioning, and access. Many have been raised to believe that wealth is for others, that it requires privilege or luck rather than strategy and intention. Others are trapped by systems that make it difficult to break free from the cycle of daily survival.

But what if we redefined our relationship with wealth? What if we embraced it as a tool, a resource that enables us to create better outcomes for ourselves and those around us? What if we chose to use our talents and gifts to build something that outlives us?

Wealthy people make different decisions. They are not burdened by the constant stress of wondering, “Do I have enough to keep the lights on and feed my children?” Instead, they have the space to think about innovation, legacy, and long-term impact. They can focus on more than just the next meal or the next crisis.

Poverty and the mindset that often accompanies it keep people stuck in the moment—and not in a good way. It forces a reactive way of living rather than a proactive, intentional pursuit of growth. It limits vision, shrinks dreams, and convinces people that life is about getting by rather than thriving.

  • Expand Your Financial Planning – Instead of only focusing on paying today’s bills, create a plan that generates enough income for the week, then the month, and gradually expand it to sustain long-term wealth.
  • Adopt an Abundance Mindset – Believe that there are more than enough resources to improve your situation. Shift from a scarcity mindset to one of abundance, recognizing opportunities instead of limitations.
  • Budget for the Life You Want – Make a budget based on the lifestyle you aspire to, not just what your current salary dictates. This helps you set financial goals and take steps toward achieving them.
  • Think in Terms of Legacy – Consider the impact you want to make in the world. What do you want to leave behind for your children and grandchildren? Let this vision guide your financial and business decisions.
  • Map Out a Path to Your Future – Identify the actions you need to take now to create the future you desire. Whether it’s investing, starting a business, or learning new skills, make a plan and start executing it.

So, the question is, what will you do with the power and potential you have?

Will you allow old beliefs to keep you confined to a life of just enough? Or will you dare to think beyond today, take ownership of your future, and use entrepreneurship as a means to build lasting wealth—not just in money but in influence, impact, and legacy?

The choice is yours.
