Some days I remind myself that I didn’t write Live Fearless: A Christian Entrepreneur’s Guide to Life and Business because I had mastered fear.
I wrote it because I needed the reminder.
Fearless living is not a personality trait.
It is a decision you make daily, especially as a woman building something that matters.
The Apostle Paul wrote, “I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on…” (Philippians 3:12, NLT).
Not that I have attained.
But I press.
And if you are a Christian woman in business, you must press too.
Press through doubt.
Press through comparison.
Press through financial uncertainty.
Press through the fear of being visible.
Because fear will always try to freeze your growth.
What Fear Looks Like in Women Entrepreneurs
Fear in business rarely announces itself.
It disguises itself as:
- “I just need more time.”
- “I’m not ready yet.”
- “There are too many people doing this already.”
- “What if I fail publicly?”
- “What will people think?”
Fear shows up as over-preparation.
Overthinking.
Underpricing.
Procrastination.
Staying small.
Fear shrinks fruitfulness.
And Genesis 1:28 was clear. We are called to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, govern, and reign.
You cannot govern what you are afraid to build.
The Fearless System.
Be. Multiply. Govern. Reign.
Fearless living is not personality-driven confidence.
It is alignment with your original assignment.
Genesis 1:28 was not poetic language. It was instruction:
Be fruitful.
Multiply.
Fill the earth.
Govern.
Reign.
That mandate applies in life and in business.
If you are a Christian woman in business, fearless living means stepping fully into that design.
1. Be
Before you build anything external, you must become internally.
Who are you becoming as a leader?
Are you growing in discipline, emotional maturity, financial literacy, spiritual depth?
Fear attacks identity first.
If you question who you are, you will hesitate in what you build.
If you doubt your authority, you will underprice your work.
If you shrink your voice, your impact shrinks with it.
Fearless living starts with identity alignment.
2. Multiply
Multiplication is increase.
Not hustle.
Not burnout.
Increase.
In business, multiplication looks like:
- Expanding revenue streams
- Growing your audience
- Refining offers
- Increasing skill capacity
- Building systems that produce consistently
If you are stuck in survival mode, you are not multiplying.
You are maintaining.
Fear keeps you in maintenance because growth feels risky.
But you were not designed for stagnation. You were designed for increase.
3. Govern
Governance is stewardship.
It is structure.
It is discipline.
It is responsibility.
Do you manage your time intentionally?
Do you track your numbers?
Do you protect your energy?
Do you enforce your boundaries?
Many women want to reign but avoid governance.
But you cannot reign over what you refuse to manage.
Fear often disguises itself as avoidance.
Avoiding the budget.
Avoiding the hard conversation.
Avoiding the necessary restructuring.
Fearless living means stepping into responsibility even when it feels uncomfortable.
4. Reign
Reigning is authority.
It is operating from ownership instead of permission.
Reigning looks like:
- Pricing confidently
- Saying no without apology
- Leading without shrinking
- Making strategic decisions without constant validation
- Owning your calling publicly
Fear mocks you: “Who do you think you are?”
Reigning answers: “I know exactly who I am.”
You cannot reign while waiting for approval.
A 3-Step Framework to Evaluate If You Are Living Fearless
Now let’s make this practical for growth-focused women in business.
If you want real change, evaluate honestly.
Step 1. Diagnose Where You Are Shrinking
Ask yourself:
- Where am I hesitating in Be, Multiply, Govern, or Reign?
- Am I underdeveloped in identity?
- Am I avoiding growth?
- Am I resisting structure?
- Am I shrinking my authority?
Fear always produces contraction.
If something in your business feels tight, stagnant, or reactive, fear may be operating there.
Name the pillar.
Clarity creates movement.
Step 2. Identify the Cost of Staying Small
Fear is not neutral. It has consequences.
Ask:
- What is this fear costing me financially?
- What is it costing my future?
- What is it costing my influence?
- What is it teaching my children about courage?
- When you calculate the cost, passivity becomes less attractive.
Most women are not incapable.
They are undecided.
Step 3. Take One Governing Action Within 24 Hours
Not ten actions. One.
If the issue is identity. Invest in growth.
If the issue is multiplication. Launch or pitch.
If the issue is governance. Set up the system.
If the issue is reigning. Raise the price. Speak publicly. Make the decision.
Movement builds confidence.
Obedience builds authority.
You do not need a new personality.
You need one aligned decision.
What Is Stopping You From Governing and Reigning?
You may be one courageous move away from the next level of your business.
Fear shrinks.
Faith multiplies.
Governance stabilises.
Reigning expands.
The question is not whether you are called.
The question is whether you will press.
What Is Stopping You From Living Fearless?
What decision are you avoiding right now?
That is where your next level begins.
