How Fearless Are You?

Fear is the First Barricade to Fruitfulness

Let’s settle this now.

If you’ve ever wondered “What is the meaning of life? What is my purpose?” It’s right there in Genesis 1:28.

God blessed mankind and said,
“Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion…”

That’s it. That’s the assignment.

Every one of us, created in His image, carries the same purpose: to be fruitful, multiply, govern, and reign.

Our fruitfulness flows from the seeds, the gifts, that God placed inside each of us. Whether that’s creativity, leadership, teaching, nurturing, or building, your purpose is to steward that gift and produce something that reflects the heart of your Creator.

But before you ever put your seed in the ground, there’s something waiting to stop you.
Something subtle. Something spiritual.

It’s fear.

The Lie That Started It All

From the very beginning, fear has been the weapon of choice.

Satan didn’t need to destroy Adam and Eve, he only needed to make them doubt.

He whispered a lie that made them question God’s love, suggesting that He was withholding something good from them.

Imagine that.

You’re made in the image and likeness of the Creator of the universe. The One who said, “All this is yours.” Yet a single seed of doubt was enough to make them turn away from truth.

That’s all fear needs – a crack in your confidence, a pause in your obedience, a whisper that says, “Maybe you’re not enough.”

How Fear Blocks Fruitfulness

Fear doesn’t always scream; sometimes it disguises itself as logic, humility, or procrastination.

It tells you:
“You’re not ready.”
“What if you fail?”
“You’re too old.”
“You don’t know enough.”

And just like that, your seed never touches the soil.

The Truth That Sets You Free

Here’s how you break that cycle: Settle in your heart that God loves you.

He’s not withholding anything good from you. Psalm 84:11 says, “No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

Jeremiah 29:11 confirms His heart toward you “For I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you.”

He already proved His love by sending Jesus. And Jesus said, “Whoever the Father gives to me, I will never cast out.”

You’re His, permanently.

If He is with you, how can you fail?

You worry about disappointing God, but you can’t. The cross already stacked the deck in your favour. You are fighting a fixed fight.

Fruitfulness Is Your Birthright

Fear is the first barricade to fruitfulness, but it’s a barricade that’s already been broken.

Jesus’ resurrection didn’t just secure your salvation; it reinstated your authority.

So when fear shows up trying to make you question your identity or your calling, remind it:

“Jesus already finished the work. I’m just here to tend the garden.”

Your job is to plant, to nurture, to show up faithfully, and watch God multiply.

Because the moment you refuse to bow to fear, you step back into your original design:
Fruitful. Multiplying. Governing. Reigning.
