Faith vs Trust

20131219_175656 (2) I’ve discovered it is possible for me to have faith that God can do something amazing but not trust Him to do it for me.

It’s always easier to believe for someone else but many times we find it hard to believe we can have good things happen to us and for us.

To mature in our relationship with God we must see Him not only as someone who CAN do wonderful things for us but as the one who WILL do it.

Trust Him.

Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

  1. This is so true. I always find myself vigorously defending his existence, but internally living with a lump of dismay that says his existence is not enough to expect Him to do anything for me.

    1. I know exactly what you mean. Over the past two years He has been making a great effort to show me that He is trustworthy and that He can be depended on to care for me and the things that concern me. I hope you will learn to trust His love for you and that you walk towards this love and embrace it fully. Thank you for sharing Andre. Be blessed.
