My name is Jonathan Pond, and I live in the UK. I met you in 2010 at the Chief Minister’s Office, when I represented the UK at the first Diaspora meetings on the island.
I live in Preston Lancashire, and is a member of a group called Preston Black History Group(PBHG).
Earlier this evening I attended our monthly meeting and was handed our latest newssheet. In the sheet I saw an item under Montserrat( Childhood memories captured in `Island Days`. I then saw the website and thought ` I know that lady`. I then asked our editor, where she got the item, and she said she was waiting too long for me to come forward with something from Montserrat, so she went in search and found this item.
There are many Montserratians in Preston, so I will pass a copy to some of them. I hope you don’t mind us printing this item in our Newssheet.
It would be great hearing from you. Our Editor, who is an English lady would be overjoyed to see a reply from you.
Best regards to all at home
PS, I remember having a chat with you in 2010, when you said how hard you was pushing yourself in your work, and my reply to you was, to my time to have some time off, and enjoy yourself with your family. I hope you took my advice.
Thank you Jonathan for sharing that information. Its always great to hear where news about my book reaches. It is available for purchase via amazon.co.uk.
