Start With the Question

“How do I start a Christian school?”

That was the question I popped into Google 11 years ago late one night as I struggled to be comfortable with my 8-month pregnant self. I had this urgent need to make things better for my unborn child. Her siblings were struggling in a school that didn’t seem to fit their personality and after spending most of their time with me I wanted them in an environment that felt as if they were being homeschooled and not just a number.

I asked and Google answered. There were tons of examples and I was introduced to various possibilities of how this idea in my head could come to life. I read and I read and I read. Then I took action.

By January 2006, I was the proud founder of a new school called Victory Christian Academy with five students on the first day and nine by the end of the first week.

After you ask the question what will you do with the answer?

Once you know you can’t unknow and so often we don’t want to ask ourselves the questions that inevitably leads to us having to confess to ourselves our own fears and feelings of inadequacies. So we feign ignorance and don’t ask our spirit for guidance, we don’t ask out loud, or Google thinking that means it keeps us from being responsible to do.

So a question for you today is: What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
